Day 1: Alice Springs – Uluru (Ayers Rock)
Travel through the West MacDonnell and James Ranges. Stop at a camel farm for an optional camel ride (own expense) and later stop to view majestic Atila (Mt. Conner), before arriving at Ayers Rock Resort. This afternoon travel to Kata Tjuta, with a photo stop made along the way. Walk between the domes in Walpa Gorge, before travelling to the Uluru sunset viewing area. Watch the sun set and the changing colours of Uluru whilst enjoying a complimentary glass of wine.

Day 1: Alice Springs - Uluru (Ayers Rock)

Day 2: Sounds of Silence Dinner
This morning join the Uluru Sunrise, Climb and Base Tour (Y18) or for the non-climbers, the Uluru Sunrise and Guided Cultural Walk (Y41). Both tours include watching sunrise at Uluru and a visit to Mutitjulu Waterhole and the Uluru – Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. The first option allows time for climbing, whilst the second option includes a longer guided walk at the base of Uluru. See pages 16/17 for more itinerary details. Time is also available for an optional scenic flight (own expense). In the evening dine under a million stars at the award-winning Sounds of Silence Dinner. Enjoy a gourmet buffet of Australian delicacies accompanied by fine Australian wines, then sit back and relax as an astronomer takes you on a tour of the southern night skies (conditions permitting).

Day 3: Uluru (Ayers Rock)
You will be transferred from your hotel to Ayers Rock Airport for your flight (airfare not included in tour price).

Day 2: Kings Canyon
An early start this morning to drive through sandhill country to Kings Canyon stopping for breakfast at Kings Creek Station (own expense) along the way. Make the rocky climb to the rim of the canyon to be rewarded with marvellous views of Watarrka National Park. The climb may take up to 3 hours and is for those with a good level of fitness. Alternatively, you may wish to explore the boulder strewn canyon floor, an easier walk. After lunch (own expense) we make our way back to Ayers Rock Resort.

Day 3: Uluru (Ayers Rock)
This morning join the Uluru Sunrise, Climb and Base Tour (Y18) or for the non-climbers, the Uluru Sunrise and Guided Cultural Walk (Y41). Both tours include a visit to Mutitjulu Waterhole and the Uluru – Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. See pages 16/17 for more itinerary details. In the afternoon you will be transferred to Ayers Rock Airport for your flight. Flight must be booked to depart after 1.30pm (airfare not included in tour price).

An easier walk along the boulder-strewn canyon floor is also available. Enjoy lunch at Kings Canyon Resort (own expense) before travelling to Alice Springs or returning to Ayers Rock Resort.

Day 3: Kings Canyon – Alice Springs
An early start from Ayers Rock Resort should reward us with a magnificent desert sunrise en route to Kings Canyon. We drive through sandhill country towards Kings Creek Station where breakfast may be purchased (own expense). Continue to Watarrka National Park where you can make the rocky climb to the rim of the canyon to be rewarded with breathtaking views of the park and into the canyon itself. The climb may take up to 3 hours and is recommended for those with a good level of fitness. Alternatively, you may wish to explore the boulder-strewn canyon floor, an easier shady walk that follows the trail between the two sheer walls of the canyon. Stop at Kings Canyon Resort to purchase lunch (own expense) before returning to Alice Springs.
