Day 1: Alice Springs
Passengers arriving from Adelaide on The Ghan commence this tour on arrival at Alice Springs train station. Tour the sights of ‘The Alice’ including the historic Telegraph Station. Visit the Royal Flying Doctor Service and learn how this marvellous facility operates to provide a ‘Mantle of Safety’ to the people of the ‘Outback’. Visit the School of the Air where we sometimes are able to listen to the children take lessons ‘on air’. At the Alice Springs Reptile Centre you will see unique central Australian reptiles, such as the Perentie Lizard and Thorny Devil. Finish the day with panoramic views of Alice Springs and the ranges from the top of Anzac Hill.

Day 2: Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) - Uluru (Ayers Rock)
Travelling south we stop to visit a camel farm where there is time for a short optional camel ride (own expense). Later stop at a lookout to view majestic Atila (Mt. Conner) before arriving at touring Kata Tjuta, before travelling to the Uluru sunset viewing area to watch sunset and the changing colours of Uluru whilst enjoying nibbles and a complimentary glass of wine.

Day 3: Uluru – Alice Springs
This morning join the Uluru Sunrise, Climb and Base Tour (Y18) or for the non-climbers, the Uluru Sunrise and Guided Cultural Walk (Y41). Both tours include watching sunrise at Uluru, a visit to Mutitjulu Waterhole and the Uluru – Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. The first option allows time for climbing, whilst the second option includes a longer guided walk at the base of Uluru. This afternoon join the coach for your return journey to Alice Springs.

Day 4: Alice Springs

It is an additional compulsory government charge at time of booking and is subject to change without notice. Children 15 years and under are not required to pay the entry fee. You must carry your ticket with you every time you enter the National Park or you will be required to purchase another ticket. |
