Day 1: Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) – Uluru (Ayers Rock)
On arrival at Ayers Rock Airport we transfer you to your hotel (flights into Ayers Rock Airport prior to 1.00pm). This afternoon explore Walpa Gorge at Kata Tjuta, then travel to the sunset viewing area to enjoy nibbles and a complimentary glass of wine while watching the sunset at Uluru.
Accommodation: Outback Pioneer Budget Rooms (L), Outback Pioneer Hotel (R), Desert Gardens Hotel (F), Sails in the Desert Hotel (S), Ayers Rock Resort.

Day 2: Uluru (Ayers Rock) This morning
join the Uluru Sunrise, Climb and Base Tour (Y18) or for the non-climbers, the Uluru Sunrise and Guided Cultural Walk (Y41). Both tours include sunrise at Uluru, a visit to Mutitjulu Waterhole and the Uluru – Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. The first option allows time for climbing, whilst the second option includes a longer guided walk at the base of Uluru. See pages 16/17 for more itinerary details. You may have time for an optional scenic helicopter flight (own expense). In the afternoon you will return to Ayers Rock Resort.

Day 1: Uluru (Ayers Rock)
On arrival at the airport you will be transferred to your accommodation (flights into Ayers Rock Airport prior to 1.00pm). This afternoon join a tour of the base of Uluru including Mutitjulu Waterhole. Visit the Uluru – Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre and learn more of the fascinating culture of the local Anangu people. Watch the changing colours of Uluru as the sun sets and enjoy nibbles and a complimentary glass of wine.

Day 2: Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) – Alice Springs
This morning enjoy watching sunrise at Uluru, whilst enjoying a warming cup of tea or coffee and biscuits. Travel to Kata Tjuta and gaze in awe at the sheer size of the domes, before the guided 2-3 hour walk commences. The walking path is rocky and requires a good level of fitness. Your Driver/Guide will keep you well informed about the vegetation found in this harsh terrain. The trail leads to a lookout with views deep into the Valley of the Winds. This afternoon travel to Alice Springs, arriving at approximately 6.30pm.
