Travel west from Alice Springs following the spectacular West MacDonnell Ranges. Our first stop is at Simpsons Gap with its
beautiful red gums. Continue to Angkerle (Standley Chasm). A light lunch will be provided before you return to Alice Springs.
This afternoon you’ll tour the sights of ‘The Alice’ including the historic Telegraph Station and the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
Visit the School of the Air and stop at the Alice Springs Reptile Centre where you will see unique Central Australian reptiles such
as the Perentie and Thorny Devil. Conclude with a panoramic view of Alice Springs and the surrounding ranges from Anzac Hill. L |

This one day 4 Wheel Drive Safari travels through the West MacDonnell Ranges to Hermannsburg*, an Aboriginal community and historic precinct which is renowned for its Aboriginal art collection and the works of Albert Namatjira (morning or afternoon tea included). Travel down the bed of the Finke River, one of the oldest watercourses in the world, into Palm Valley. Marvel at spectacular rock forms, white sands and an oasis of rock pools and palm trees. Visit the spectacular rock formation known as the Amphitheatre. Enjoy a picnic lunch within Finke Gorge National Park. On the return journey to Alice Springs watch the changing colours of the magnificent West MacDonnell Ranges in the afternoon sunlight. |

Travel west from Alice Springs following the spectacular West MacDonnell Ranges. Our first stop is at Simpsons Gap with its
beautiful red gums. Continue to Angkerle (Standley Chasm). Walk along the stony watercourse lined with cycads, ghost
gums, cypress pines and acacias. A light lunch will be provided before you depart for Alice Springs Desert Park. Explore the
desert rivers, sand country and woodland habitats and discover many of the secrets of the Central Australian deserts. Visit the
Nocturnal House and witness free-flying birds of prey in the nature theatre at the Birds of Prey Presentation. Afterwards you
will be transferred back to Alice Springs. L |
