Kings Canyon - Half Day Tours

1 DAY KINGS CANYON - EX AYERS ROCK RESORT

Highlights: • Kings Canyon • Kings Creek Station Drive through sandhill country towards Kings Canyon, stopping for breakfast at Kings Creek Station (own expense). Continue on to Watarrka National Park where you can make the rocky climb with your Guide to the rim of Kings Canyon to be rewarded with marvellous views. The climb may take up to 3 hours and is for those with a good level of fitness. Or you may wish to explore the boulder-strewn canyon floor, an easier walk. After lunch (own expense) we make our way back to Ayers Rock Resort (Y19) or continue to Alice Springs (Y20).

AYERS ROCK RESORT TO KINGS CANYON

Highlights: • Atila (Mt. Conner) • Views of Historic Cattle Stations Travel through spectacular desert scenery from Ayers Rock Resort to Kings Canyon Resort by luxury coach. Pass through Curtin Springs and view Atila (Mt. Conner). After turning off the Lasseter Highway and onto Luritja Road your Driver/Guide will provide informative commentary about the history of the surrounding cattle stations. Arrive at Kings Canyon Resort before dusk. You may have time to view the sunset behind Carmichaels Crag to finish off the day.

KINGS CANYON TO ALICE SPRINGS

Highlights: • Mt. Ebenezer Roadhouse • Scenes of Rocky Outcrops and Rivers Travel through beautiful desert landscapes from Kings Canyon Resort to Alice Springs by luxury coach. Stop at Mt. Ebenezer Roadhouse for the opportunity to purchase afternoon tea. Take a wander through the Aboriginal Art Gallery to see some locally made craft. Continue on to Alice Springs along the Stuart Highway, as the sun sets in the west over the rugged plains.

KINGS CANYON CLIMB - EX KINGS CANYON

Highlights: • Watarrka National Park In the cool of the morning join your Driver/ Guide for a 3 hour guided climb to and around the rim of Kings Canyon. Marvel at the breathtaking views of Watarrka National Park and into the canyon itself. The rim walk is rocky and steep in places and is recommended for those with a good level of fitness. Alternatively, you may wish to explore the canyon floor, an easier shady walk that follows a trail between the two sheer walls of the canyon.

KINGS CANYON TO AYERS ROCK RESORT

Highlights: • Desert Scenery • Atila (Mt. Conner) Travel through sand hill country from Kings Canyon Resort to Ayers Rock Resort. Admire desert scenery whilst enjoying the ‘outback’ journey with your professional Driver/Guide. View Atila (Mt. Conner) and pass through Curtin Springs on your luxury coach. Look out for wild camels that inhabit the area.
