Welcome to Darwin the capital city of the Northern Territory. Darwin is situated in the Australian outback and is located at the top of Australia. Darwin has a population of 100.000 people. The city of Darwin is the capital of the NT with the majority of tours departing from here. It’s hot so travel light if you can, with an average yearly temperature in the 30’s we advise that you drink lots of water during the day (a headache from dehydration however mild, is not fun). Most people from all over this wonderful planet come to Darwin in the Northern Territory of Australia, just to see the majestic beauty of Uluru and Kakadu National Park with thousands of Aboriginal art sites and of course numerous natural wonders and waterfalls such as Jim Jim Falls and Twin Falls. Kakadu offers numerous walking tracks and the campsites are scattered throughout. The cheapest way to travel, believe it or not is to fly to Darwin. With the introduction of a number of competitive airlines flights within Australia, and more importantly to Darwin are really reasonable. Virgin Blue and Jetstar offer daily flights to Darwin from any of the capital cities within Australia as well as overseas. You also have the option to travel by coach from anywhere in Australia, by train which can be rather expensive, or hire your own car to make the trip to Darwin. Though there are a few thousand kilometres to travel so please allow a few days of travel time.
