TREVOR HOSIE
15 Years Charter Experience
Trevor has been operating highly successful and unique diving and fishing charters since 1990 in Australia's remote Northern Territory and farther afield in Asian and South Pacific destinations.
He transferred his centre of operations from the Darwin area to the Gove Peninsula in 2003 and believes fervently that its surrounds hold a huge and largely untapped potential for fishing enthusiasts and for those looking for a truly remote area experience.
Adventure
He is convinced that Gove will provide all who visit an unforgettable adventure in one of Australia's most exciting and pristine areas.
Personalized Service
Trevor aims to produce an excellent product based on personalized service, high levels of professionalism and outstanding remote area fishing experiences.
He is continuing to develop these unique fishing trips by developing camping safaris to the Wessel Islands, English Company Islands and Bremer Island.
Commitment to the Land and Traditional Owners
Trevor firmly believes in ensuring the land and sea that are so important to the traditional people of the area should be treated with due respect. This means no littering, no illegal fishing and no interference with the delicate balance of nature - keeping away from turtle nests and other wildlife breeding areas.
His agreements with traditional owners for land use are unique and of mutual benefit.
GOVE PENINSULA AND NHULUNBUY
The Gove Peninsula is the most eastern extremity of Australia's Northern Territory mainland.
With its spectacular coastal landforms, extensive offshore islands and strong Aboriginal cultural connections, this region offers one of the more accessible opportunities to visit and experience remote and mysterious Arnhem Land.
| Pristine
Napaki (white people) rarely visit most parts of this area; they are breathtakingly beautiful with white sands, clear water and colorful coral reefs. Birds, fish, turtle and other wildlife abound - it's not uncommon for dolphin and pilot whales to follow the MV Nomad on her journeys. Adventure, Chill Out or Eco-Tour? It's up to you whether you want a "screaming reels" experience, discover the local flora and fauna, or prefer to meditate on the beach. There are many places to discover for solitude - places where you are the only visitor. There are brilliant walks and discovery paths, and the opportunity to meet local Yolngu (Indigenous Australians) to participate in their culture. |
