There are some great watering holes for you to take a dip in, namely located at the base of Jim Jim Falls, which during the dry season is still a beautiful attractions to visit. With towering cliff faces on three sides and the water falling over the edge of the cliff it certainly creates an awesome experience. You can swim right where the waterfall hits the water or a little further down where there are sandy beaches and rock pools. There are walking tracks leading you directly to the falls and 6km round trip along the escarpment of the falls which will provide one of the most breathtaking lookouts.

Another attractions that Kakadu boasts is the Twin Falls which you can either see by foot during the dry season and if you are visiting in the wet season a scenic flight will prove a trip well taken with stunning views from above the rushing waters as well as Gunlom where you can swim and splash with the kids all day long. See Mamukala Wetlands in the South Alligator Area where you walk along boardwalks, view the surrounding area from vantage points and observation platforms or enjoy a picnic in the picnic grounds.
