Activities for all the family include bird watching, billabong cruises, barramundi fishing, visiting rock art galleries, swimming in crocodile free rock holes, bushwalking, 4 wheel drive adventure, bush tucker appreciation, photography, exploring catacombs, investigating paperbark swamps and rainforest, wildlife spotting and viewing the exotic flora in this fascinating ecosystem. Or you can just lay back and relax in the tranquillity of a remote, pristine wilderness environment that is unmatched in its beauty and diversity. There is no set itinerary; you decide your own activities and our guides accommodate your choices. Davidson's Arnhemland Safaris tours are fully guided at all times due to the sacred nature of the area, and our staff is fully committed to making your visit a safe and truly memorable experience.

The majority of travel to Kakadu National Park is via the Arnhem Highway from Darwin using either self-drive vehicles or through organised coach tours. There are sealed roads from Darwin to the Park via the Arnhem Highway and from Katherine to the Park via the Kakadu Highway. The Bowali Visitor Centre near Jabiru is located 253 km from Darwin via the Arnhem Highway entrance. By road, you will need to allow around 3 hours travelling time from Darwin.

Darwin is approximately 4050km from Sydney, 3500km from Brisbane, 3200km from Adelaide, 4500km from Perth and 1482km from Alice Springs. Due to such large distances, it is usually not practical for international visitors to drive to Darwin from other state capital cities. As a result, many international visitors hire campervans (Motor Homes/Recreational Vehicles) to explore the Northern Territory.
