What to expect
You'll be camped at a permanent outback site near Uluru, sharing meals and chores with other guests—unpacking vehicles, cooking, and cleaning are communal efforts. Guided walks cover roughly 5km depending on fitness levels, exploring rock formations and Indigenous cultural sites. Nights are spent in either twin safari tents or traditional swags (canvas-covered bedrolls), both functional rather than luxurious. Days are hot and exposed; expect early starts and plenty of walking. This is physical and remote, with limited supplies once you've departed Alice Springs, so medical conditions and dietary needs must be flagged at booking. The tour wraps at Yulara.
