What to expect

Expect early starts and full days covering substantial ground by 4WD across remote tracks. Walks range from 2–3km with varied terrain and elevation (grade 2–4 difficulty). You'll navigate boardwalks, scramble down rocky approaches, and wade through water to reach secluded pools. Nights at established camps involve communal meal prep and cleanup—part of the experience, not a chore. Accommodation is basic but sturdy: twin-share safari tents or traditional swags under stars. Temperatures swing sharply; pack layers. Limited supplies in the outback mean dietary requests must be flagged at booking. Children aged 8–17 need an adult supervisor; under 7s aren't suitable due to walk demands and safety.

Moderate-to-advanced fitness required; those over 70 need a doctor's clearance 30 days ahead. Declare medical conditions upfront. Hire a sleeping bag if needed.
