What to expect
You'll be collected from your hotel and driven to the walking start point. After a light breakfast to settle in, you'll set off on foot around the entire base of the rock with your guide pointing out significant cultural sites and art. The walk is steady but requires moderate fitness. Depending on recent rainfall, you may see water running down the rock face into the gorge—a dramatic sight in this arid landscape. Throughout the morning, you'll stop for tea, coffee or hot chocolate with biscuits. The full loop takes four and a half hours including breaks.
Good to know
National Park entry fee (AUD38 adults, free children) is not included and valid for three days. Wear sturdy walking shoes, sunscreen, and bring water. Infants must sit on an adult's lap during coach travel. Moderate fitness required.
